Energex service agreements

Our service agreements ensure that you receive the level of service you expect.

They clarify the roles between all parties and determine the performance standards for your electricity retailer and Energex, your electricity distributor.

The Electricity Industry Code is a regulatory instrument that defines among other things, the guaranteed service levels and performance requirements for electricity distributors and retailers operating in Queensland.

This is a contract between the electricity distributor (Energex) and you, the customer, regarding the connection and delivery of your electricity. You have a right to negotiate different Terms of this Contract.

This is a contract between you and your retailer. It must be offered by your retailer if no Negotiated Retail Contract exists between you.

This is an agreement between the electricity distributor (Energex) and electricity retailers. It defines how we will interact in providing respective services to you, our customer.

This is a contract between the electricity distributor (Energex) and you as the customer, where the customer elects to pursue a connection for unmetered supply e.g. street lights, bus stops and billboards. You have a right to negotiate different Terms of this Contract.

This table shows the timeframes for completion of certain services provided by Energex, including connections and disconnections.  Energex is obligated to meet these timeframes in accordance with the Electricity Industry Code requirements.
