Right to Information
Under the Right to Information Act 2009, ENERGEX Limited is committed to making available to the public, documents about its functions and operations.
Right to Information Act 2009:
| (1) | The primary object of the Act is to give a right of access to information in the government’s possession or under the government’s control unless, on balance, it is contrary to the public interest to give the access. |
| (2) | The Act must be applied and interpreted to further the primary object. |
As a Government Owned Corporation, ENERGEX is required to develop and publish on its website, details of the information it is making available to the public via its Publication Scheme.
Access
Under the Right to Information Act 2009, members of the public have a right to apply for access to, or copies of, documents held by ENERGEX.
Members of the public can also request copies of, or access to, documents that relate to their personal information and apply to have their personal information amended under the Information Privacy Act 2009.
To protect an individual's privacy and to protect the public interest, ENERGEX may refuse access to a document under the provisions of both Acts.
Please complete the relevant form to make application under the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009 or to make application to have personal information amended under the Information Privacy Act 2009.
