As an ENERGEX apprentice you will be part of one of the nation’s leading energy distribution companies.
With more than 2.8 million customers in an area spanning around 25,000km, our team is responsible for powering communities throughout South East Queensland. We build and maintain the region’s electricity network, including more than 600,000 power poles, almost 300,000 street lights and around 50,000km of electrical lines and cables.
Quite simply, we’re behind whatever’s going on in South East Queensland.

As a large organisation, there are plenty of opportunities to progress your career with ENERGEX and to kick you off we'll pay you to learn your trade. You'll be compensated with a great superannuation package, supplied with all uniforms and an $1800 tool kit to get your started. Work-life balance is also very important at ENERGEX so we offer you great working conditions where you can enjoy the outdoors with your work mates in a lively, hands on environment working only 9-days a fortnight.

Once you have finished your ENERGEX apprenticeship you can apply for a fulltime trade position within the company. Around ninety percent (90%) of all our apprentices continue their employment with ENERGEX. There may also be opportunities to move into other areas of the organisation.
