Underground Cable Jointing

Underground Cable Jointing has been designed for employees within the energy distribution/supply industry. In order to qualify for this course, trainees must complete Certificate III in ESI Distribution (powerline).

EsiTrain also provides clients with Training Needs Analysis consultancy services, which include:

This course is fully-customisable, putting the needs of the client first.

  • apply legislation and standards for confined space entry
  • work safely in confined spaces
  • select and use respiratory protection devices
  • prepare and perform in confined space rescue
  • classify and control combustion
  • operate fire extinguishing equipment.

  Details Confined Spaces training has been designed for all personnel required to work in confined spaces.

Note: during training, students wear breathing apparatus in both fresh air and smoke-filled atmospheres.

Breathing apparatus will also be worn during simulated rescues. Students will perform simulated rescues of personnel from the confined space/training vessel using lifting equipment, tripod, harness, retrieval line and stretcher.

     
  Course length 24 hours.
     
  Training location   This is a trainer-led course that can be undertaken at EsiTrain, or another suitable venue.
