Certificate III ESI distribution (powerline)

The Certificate III in Esi Distribution is a Queensland apprenticeship and has been specifically tailored to build the skills and expertise necessary to achieve this National Qualification.

ENERGEX Esitrain is the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for this course and organises the training facilities.

the course outcomes
The course gives apprentices the knowledge and skills to safely and efficiently install and maintain overhead and underground distribution mains.

Certificate III in Esi Distribution offers two specialist streams:

Linesperson
Cablejointer

The apprentice, depending on the stream chosen, will receive an Electrical Cable Jointer or Linesperson licence after successfully completing the course and all other job requirements.

It is important to note that there is only a small difference between the two licences. A student interested in acquiring the second licence will have to complete extra training.

	Details	Certificate III ESI distribution (powerline) is available to school leavers. There is also a mature-age entry available.

	Apprenticeship length	4 years, depending on progress.

	Training location	This apprenticeship can either be completed at EsiTrain and a number of modules are conducted on the job with the trainee’s employer.
