it doesn't cost the earth

The program is quite simple. Businesses commit to a percentage of their electricity consumption or nominate a fixed volume as earth'schoice purchases. ENERGEX then purchases the equivalent amount of electricity supplies from non-greenhouse gas emitting sources. The initiative is fully sanctioned by the National Green Power Accreditation Program and independently audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The program is flexible so you can determine your own level of support. You have two ways to calculate how to contribute:

1. You can set a fixed dollar amount in addition to your regular electricity costs, or
2. Pay for a fixed volume of green energy.

Both options require a minimum level of support of 2.5% of your electricity use and the cost to you only equates to an additional 3.5 cents per kilowatt-hour (plus GST).

Regardless which level of earth'schoice contribution you choose, your business has a responsible way of achieving environmental goals while managing costs. And remember, your contributions may be tax deductible.
