ENERGEX is inviting Ipswich community groups, clubs and schools to apply for PowerPact community partnership funding.
As part of the Energy Conservation Community (ECC) program, $50,000 will be made available to assist local Ipswich schools and community groups with purchasing products or services that enhance energy conservation, or initiatives which support sustainability or the environment.
The Ipswich ECC Program was established in October last year to encourage communities to reduce their energy consumption at times of peak electricity demand – typically between 4 - 8pm and on hot summer days.
By participating in the program residents are eligible for up to $600 in rewards, and for every household enrolment, a donation is added to the PowerPact community partnership fund.
Ultimately it’s a win-win situation, with participants benefiting from energy savings and program rewards, and local groups that share ENERGEX’s vision for a sustainable future benefiting from PowerPact funding.
The Ipswich PowerPact community partnership fund opens for applications on 6 February 2012, and closes on 30 March 2012. Application forms are available by emailing energycc@energex.com.au or by phoning 1300 360 209.
