queenslanders - leading the way in sustainability
South East Queenslanders have already proven themselves as world leaders in resource demand management. For example, we’re internationally recognised for the changes we’ve made to our water use behaviour. In addition, Queenslanders have been quietly taking part in one of the world’s largest energy demand management programs – the remote cycling of electric hot water systems.
More than 855,000 homes across the state are connected to the cheaper Tariff 31 and 33, allowing ENERGEX to cycle hot water systems off during peak periods and provide savings to customers.
