Remember in the heat, if you're not using an air conditioner, keep your doors and windows open and drink plenty of water.

During storms, unsecured items can be blown into overhead powerlines, causing not only a risk of injury or damage to property, but also causing electricity interruptions or live powerlines to fall to the ground. Fallen powerlines can be deadly.
Just doing a few simple things around the home before the summer storms hit is the easy way to prevent problems and keep your home and loved ones safe from danger.

If you have an overhead power supply, check that the wire coming into your house from the street is clear from contact with trees and branches. Do not attempt to prune trees in or near powerlines. If you are concerned that a tree is too close to a powerline, call ENERGEX on 13 12 53.
Trimming overgrown tree branches and removing or securing loose items outside your home will ensure you're prepared for storm season.
