Promoting a sustainable South East Queensland

We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our operations and encourage this sustainable attitude through our partnership activities.

Sustainability Assessment Framework (SAF)

The Sustainability Assessment Framework (SAF) is a multi-criteria assessment tool.

It is used to guide our decision making processes for the sustainable development of network corridors.

Our powerline corridor selection is based on an assessment framework of well established social and environmental factors, in balance with technical and economic considerations.

Household energy consumption has doubled over the past 10 years and population and economic growth has continued this trend.

As a result, there is more demand than ever for new electrical infrastructure to ensure quality power supply for South East Queensland.

We take a holistic approach to new infrastructure development and are committed to growing the network in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

To see how we apply the SAF to new infrastructure developments, please view our Electricity and Sustainability Development brochure.
