ENERGEX Bright Futures Program

ENERGEX is offering a unique opportunity for students to join industry leaders to address various issues circulating in the business world.

Successful nominees will be sponsored by ENERGEX to attend an event hosted by CEDA, the Committee for Economic Development Australia. Students and accompanying teachers will listen to key speakers present their views on hot topics, participate in question time and engage with representatives from Australian businesses.

By participating in the Bright Futures Series, we hope to encourage students in to work towards career goals by providing an insight into operations and issues in the business world.

Teachers are invited to nominate two students and accompany them to the selected CEDA event. At each event, up to three schools may be in attendance. Successful nominees will be determined by ENERGEX according to the student’s profile and demonstrated interest in the event topic.

To nominate a student to attend a CEDA event, you must be a Queensland School Teacher. Nominated students must be in Years 10, 11 or 12.

Complete the nomination form online before 5pm on the advertised closing date for that event. Successful applicants will be notified via phone and/or email prior up to five days after nominations close.

QLD Economic & Political Overview

The Economic and Political Overview (EPO) previews the Australian economy and politics - at state and federal levels - for the year ahead. This dovetails with the EPO research report publication providing senior executives with insights and information on the environment in which they will operate over the next 12 months.

Each year, CEDA through its EPO, looks critically at the key issues impacting on the performance of national and state economies. Through the EPO events, CEDA brings together economic and political commentators and experts to provide their considered view of the environment in which they will be operating over the current calendar year.

Sessions comprise commentaries and discussion panels with leading political and economic analysts and distinguished journalists. Discussion centres on major issues impacting on the public and private sectors, as well as a forecast of the economic and political climate in the short to medium term.
