Are you completing a university degree and seeking a career in electrical engineering? Our Graduate Program provides an excellent foundation to a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

We attract ambitious and talented engineering graduates and invest in their development through our three year Graduate Program. Our program offers a broad range of experiences to develop graduates’ personal and professional skills.

We are a leader in the electricity industry, thanks to our skilled engineers who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain our extensive networks.

Applications are now closed. You can apply for a graduate opportunity when we’re advertising for applicants, which usually happens every year. Our next graduate intake will be advertised around June 2019 to commence early 2020.

About the program

Over the three year program, you’ll receive:

  • Comprehensive training and development
  • Varied and exciting job experiences through work rotations
  • Challenging work assignments under the supervision of senior engineers and technical specialists
  • One-on-one mentoring and ongoing support and advice.

The program also supports you to work towards Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng).

Work rotations

In our Graduate Program you rotate every six months through different departments and areas of our business. This gives you exposure to all aspects of the business and helps you discover your strengths and interests.

You’re assigned a mentor, usually a senior engineer, to support and advise you throughout the program. They’ll look after your development and help create opportunities that align with your goals, needs and interests.

Professional development

Graduates are provided with many learning and development opportunities. Apart from on-the-job training, you can also undertake a series of postgraduate courses to support your professional development.

While academic training is crucial to professional development, we also recognise the importance of interpersonal skills. To enhance interpersonal skills, we offer customised training courses aimed at developing graduates into well-rounded engineering professionals.
