Data to share

From time to time we receive requests from our customers to share information and data. We want to provide you with access to this information while still protecting the privacy of our customers.

You can access data on household electricity consumption, customer connections, connection types and solar PV installations within South East Queensland.

You may want to use this data for purposes such as research programs, advocacy matters and education development.

Customer Connection Data (XLSX 45.8 kb)

This file contains statistical data by local council area and postcode. It includes information such as:

  • the number of business and domestic customers;
  • the number of customers on specific tariffs;
  • solar installs & capacity;
  • the number of swimming pools; and
  • property age.

This data is updated monthly. Please ensure you read the context of the data before use - this is located in the data file.

Energy Consumption Data (XLSX 2.1 mb)

This file contains consumption data by a yearly and monthly breakdown in kWh, by local council area & postcode and by domestic & business customers.

This data is updated annually around April/May. Please ensure you read the context of the data before use - this is located in the data file.
3 Solar PV Installations by Postcode (XLSX 40.2 kb) 

This file contains the number solar PV installations and the installed capacity by suburb and postcode.

This data is updated monthly. Please ensure you read the context of the data before use - this is located in the data file.

4Service Order Data (XLSX 498.2 kb) 

This file contains the number of completed retailer requested service orders by month. The service orders relate to:

  • new connections;
  • disconnections (de-energisations);
  • re-connections (re-energisations);
  • changes to metering (Additions and Alterations);
  • solar PV metering; and
  • meter and/or service line removal (supply abolishments).

5Zone substation data request

To request access to Energex zone substation data for the last 10 years complete our online form.

You will receive the data within 30 business days.
