EsiTrain supply a diverse range of training courses that are designed to provide staff with:

  • The underpinning skills and knowledge to carry out electrical and non-electrical work
  • A basic understanding of Electrical Supply Industry principles or concepts
  • Compliance with the Work Category Specification (WCS) and Energex Standard Working Procedures (SWPs) to supply contracted works

EsiTrain's training can be beneficial to a wide audience, from trades people to office staff. The duration of these courses ranges anywhere from a few hours to a few days, with training delivery available either at EsiTrain or at a customer’s location.

BBI  Broadband Infrastructure Awareness

Skills acquired

On successful completion of this module including all prerequisites and assessments you should be able to:

  • Identify broadband network installations and major components on a number of Energex distribution poles from an on-site ground position and/or by illustrations
  • Conduct a risk assessment and determine safe working procedures in relation to various work tasks to be performed on and in the vicinity of a variety of Energex distribution poles which have broadband network installations
  • Demonstrate safe working procedures as outlined in all relevant guides, standards, staff instructions, Standard Works Procedures, Energex Safety Management System,  Energex Safety Manual; and other relevant documentation when performing work on and in the vicinity of Energex distribution poles which have broadband network installations
