Energex is a participant in the National Electricity Market. We must operate and maintain our network in accordance with the National Electricity Rules and meet jurisdictional requirements. The rules and requirements which we must follow are developed by regulators.

Energex is an electricity distributor and doesn't sell electricity directly to customers. A full listing of all electricity retailers currently trading in Queensland can be obtained viewed on the Energy Made Easy website.

Regulated Electricity Prices
From 1 July 2016, retail electricity prices in South East Queensland are no longer regulated by the QCA. Notified prices won't be available to customers in this region.
