Work on the underground section of the project will commence mid-May with completion expected around October 2016.
As one of South East Queensland's fastest growing areas, Logan has been identified to benefit from an additional 110kV powerline. The 23 kilometre network upgrade will link Loganlea Substation on Meakin Road, Loganlea to Jimboomba Substation, located on Camp Cable Road, Jimboomba.
Construction is scheduled to be commissioned in October 2016 in preparation for the 2016/17 storm season.
Following a review of the Loganlea to Jimboomba Project route with the Logan City Council, a part of the existing overhead powerline route along the Logan River has been amended to include an underground section.
