Unplanned or unexpected outages to your power supply can occur for many reasons.
These include: storms, lightning, cyclones, bushfires, car accidents, trees or branches falling onto powerlines and incidents occuring in the electricity network.
We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can cause.
We constantly maintain, upgrade and protect our network to minimise the number and duration of these power outages.
Call 13 62 62 to notify us of power outages or to seek advice on restoration timeframes.
In an emergency, such as fallen powerlines or electric shocks, call 13 19 62.
If your power goes out, keep a battery-powered radio with fully charged batteries handy and listen to your local radio station or access our mobile website from your smart phone for regular power restoration updates, www.energex.com.au/mobile.
If you can see or hear something that could help identify the problem, like fallen powerlines or a loud bang, stay well clear and contact us on the numbers above.
