Work Experience
Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy Network and Energex) offer work experience placements for high school students currently in Years 10, 11 or 12, or students completing a relevant course through TAFE.
Work experience is a great way to gain insight into our everyday work and to find out about the various jobs that exist within our organisation. Work experience can form part of a careers/job seeking cycle and in particular tie in with the recruitment of apprentices.
If you’re interested in the Electricity Supply Industry, your enthusiasm may lead to a work experience placement with us. We are regularly looking for interested candidates to nurture as we lead the future of energy supply in Queensland.
Work Experience Program:
- Work experience opportunities at our depots and offices across Queensland
- Open to students in Years 10-12, or studying at TAFE
- Completed in 1-week blocks for our trade-based placements. For non-trade it can be for a shorter period.

Once your application is received it will be assessed and you will be advised of the outcome.
Applications will occur in the following cycles and will be open for a specified placement period.
