Reporting vandalism

Vandalism on our electricity network can be far more than just unsightly. Those carrying out such acts put themselves and others at risk and the damage caused can create a serious safety hazard for the community. Vandalising the power network is also a breach of the Electricity Act and significant fines can be issued to those caught.

Vandalism can occur in many forms including, but not limited to:

  • Graffiti (at some locations Energex has authorised tasteful paintings on assets). For more information on how to apply visit our Decorating poles & assets web page
  • Unauthorised signs on assets (such as businesses nailing signs to poles)
  • Damage to equipment
  • Theft and/or attempted theft of equipment.

To report vandalism on the power network please phone us on 13 12 53.
