Are you receiving all the energy concessions you’re eligible for? There are a range of concessions made available by the Queensland Government to help reduce cost of living pressures for Queenslanders.
Cost of living rebate
The Queensland Government Cost of Living Rebate is being credited to your residential electricity account by your energy retailer.
For most households, the rebate will be credited to electricity bills on a quarterly basis commencing from 1 July 2023. Exact timing will depend on retailers’ system requirements and individual billing cycles. Households will receive one of the following:
- $700 Cost of Living Rebate on electricity bills for vulnerable households, plus a further $372 under the Queensland Electricity Rebate Scheme, bringing total rebates for Queenslanders doing it toughest to $1,072
- $550 Cost of Living Rebate on electricity bills for all other Queensland households
- $650 Cost of Living Rebate on electricity bills for eligible small businesses.
