Subscribe to the EP Portal

Subscribing to the EP Portal or Retailer Portal is basically setting up your Group (or business), or joining a specific Group (or business).  The reason for Groups is to associate a number of users together, under one business.

You can add additional subscriptions once you are inside the applicable Portal.

There are two types of roles you can be in the Portal - Group Manager and Member.

Electrical Partners Portal

  1. As a Member you can submit EWRs and CONNECTs and view those submitted requests
  2. As a Group Manager, you have the same access as a member, with added responsibility to approve, decline or unsubscribe (remove) members from your Group.

Retailer Portal

  1. As a Member you can search and view NMI / Premises and Service Order information
  2. As a Group Manager, you have the same access as a member, with added responsibility to approve, decline or unsubscribe (remove) members from your Group.

If you are setting up your Group for the very first time, the Portal will automatically assign the first user to the role of Group Manager.  Any Group Manager can easily change your role once you are in the Portal under MyProfile.

Each time you create a new Group or join an existing Group within Portal, you will receive an email advising you what your subscription status is. Look for emails from energexportal@energex.com.au.

What do I select?

  1. Enter in your ESO Licence Number in the box provided, and click on Check - this will validate the EC Licence Number entered against the ESO database.  Check the name of the business is correct before continuing.
  2. If you are setting up your Group for the very first time, once you click Next >> you will need to complete your Group details - refer to Set up the Group on how to do this.

  1. Enter in your CEC Accreditation Number in the box provided, and click on Check - this will validate the Licence Number entered against the ESO database.  Check the name is correct before continuing.
  2. Is your Group (business) already set up in the Portal?
    1. No - you will need to create a new Group, select Create a new Group.  If you are setting up your Group for the very first time, once you click on Next >> you will need to complete your Group details - refer to Set up the Group on how to do this.
    2. Yes - As your Group is already set up - and you know your Energex Group reference number - select Join a Group using an Energex Group Reference and enter the Energex Group reference number in the box provided, and click Check. Check that the Group name is correct before continuing.

  1. Your Group is already set up, you are not a CEC Accredited Solar Installer, and you know your Energex Group reference number.
  2. Enter the Energex Group reference number in the box provided, and click Check. Check the Group name is correct before continuing.

  1. Is your Group (business) already set up in the Portal?
    1. No - you will need to Create a new Group. Refer below for further information.
    2. Yes - As your Group is already set up - and you know your Energex Group reference number (EGX) - select Join a Group using an Energex Group Reference and enter the Energex Group reference number in the box provided, and click Check. Check that the Group name is correct before continuing.  Your subscription request has now been sent to the Group Manager of your business to approve or decline your request to the Portal.

Create a new Group

Before you can create your Group (business) in the Portal, you must have contacted Energex and nominated a primary contact for your business to be set up in the Energex system. Once set up, the primary contact is then provided an Authorisation Code that is required to complete subscription.

  1. Select Create a new Group and enter in your Energex Retailer Group Authorisation Code (starts with RG) and click on Check - this will validate the Authorisation Code entered against the Energex system. Check the business name is correct before continuing.
  2. As you are setting up your Group for the very first time, once you click on Next >> you will need to complete your Group details - refer to Set up the Group on how to do this.
  3. Once you have completed the business Group details, you will be provided with an Energex Reference Number (EGX). You will need to provide this number to future users within your business to access the Portal.

Set up the Group

If you are setting up your Group for the very first time, you will be asked to complete your business details such as business name, ABN, address and contact details. Once you complete these details, click on Subscribe >> to continue through the subscription process.
