STNW3522 Version 4 Released
Version 4 of the Large Customer Connection Standard STNW3522 has now been released. This update incorporates the name change from Major to Large Customer to align with the Connection Policy. It also includes technical clarifications, reflects current network requirements and aligns the standard with recent changes to standards and connection practices.
Note: Version 3 was held back and not released to the public. As a result, industry users should transition directly from version 2 to version 4.
Version 4 was effective from 13 July 2026 and is available for download on our network websites:
To support a smooth transition, any connection agreement or project received between 13 July 2026 and 18 October 2026 may be designed and assessed in accordance with either Version 2 or Version 4 of STNW3522. However, the requirements of the two version must not be mixed. A project must comply entirely with the requirements of a single version.
From 19 October 2026, all new connection agreements and projects must comply with the requirements STNW3522 Version 4.
